Tamawakasu Jinja; It is believed the origin is the son of Prince Ōsuwake. Ōsuwake was one of Emperor Keikou’s sons who was sent to Oki island. Emperor Keiko sent his sons to establish various countries within Japan. Emperor Keikou said to have reigned AD71 – 130. Tamawakasu is the god who created Okinoshima island, the Oki clan had been held the title of Oki Kokuso.
