The old temple which was on the name at Engishiki and Kokunai Jimmyo-cho, and Soja of Hineno・Kaminogo・Nagataki district in Izumisano city, Hineno.
The deity is Emperor Jimmu's father・ugayafukiaezunomikoto, and mother・Tamayorihime. One of the 5 shrine in Izumi country(Otori, Izumianash, Hijiri, Tsugawa, Hine).
Hineno became kujo family's manor in Kamakura period, advance the development such as pond and waterway were made, then Hineno shrine was called Oiseki Daimyojin. But shinto shrine was destroyed by fire by Hideyoshi in Tenshou era 4(1576). Current shinto shrine was rebuilt by Hideyori in Keichou era 5(1600)(prefectural Designated Cultural Property).
